Golf For Dummies DVD Bundle (Paperback) From Gary McCord
The Golf For Dummies DVD Bundle (Paperback) From Gary McCord which we are presenting today is one of the most known title from the “For Dummies” series for golf beginners and besteller on Amazon.
McCord was born in San Gabriel, California and raised in southern California. He was a two-time Division II All-American at UC Riverside. He won the NCAA Division II individual championship in 1970 and turned professional in 1971.
McCord’s best two finishes on the PGA Tour were at the Greater Milwaukee Open, placing second in both 1975 and 1977. During his years on the PGA Tour, he had nearly two dozen top-10 finishes.
Well, this guy knows how to play golf. But is he able to convey his knowledge to others?

McCord credits golf pro Brad Britton for teaching him the ins and outs of the golf swing and especially the mental game.
At age 37 in 1986, McCord joined CBS Sports as a golf analyst, a capacity in which he still serves. He is noted for his outspokenness, a trait that has seen him barred from the CBS commentary team for The Masters.
Aside from his CBS commentary duties, McCord also plays on the Champions Tour. After turning 50 in May 1998, he won his first event at the Toshiba Senior Classic in March 1999, and also won that year’s Ingersoll-Rand Senior Tour Championship. Back in 1991, he won the Gateway Open on the Ben Hogan Tour, the second-tier tour in the U.S., now called the Nationwide Tour.
McCord has also written two books, Just a Range Ball in a Box of Titleists and Golf for Dummies. In 1996, he appeared as himself in the Kevin Costner movie Tin Cup. He and Peter Kostis are partners in the Kostis/McCord Learning Center in Scottsdale, Arizona. He is also a co-announcer on the EA Sports’ Tiger Woods PGA Tour series along with David Feherty.

New Golfer (by Philip Weygandt)
Instant tips from the dvd gave me things to work on right away. The book covers even more aspects. Good value for the new golfer.
Great Gift! (by N. Wentworth)
I purchased this for my boyfriend who is a beginner-intermediate golfer. He really liked that it came with a video. The book is big and packed full of information. Makes for a great resource book and is a great gift!
A Big Help! (by M. Camp “Hollywood”)
I bought this book hoping to learn more about the rules of the game of golf, and it is worth much more than that. Its an easy to read as well as entertaining book, that is a great read for anyone from beginner to experienced golfers. I have alot more fun on the course now and have an improved confidence with every shot!
Golf For Dummies (by Giants86)
I originally borrowed this book from my library (I wanted to review certain chapters). But after reading only a few sections, I decided to buy it. Gary McCord goes over the basics in a very amusing and easy to read and understand manner. He provides many important tips – from exercises to help a senior golfer like me stay in shape over the winter to how to putt more effectively. The DVD was an aded bonus and the entire package came with a great price and Amazon’s usual speedy delivery. Would recommend this to any average golfer to gain insight and sound, practical advice – plus McCord has a very entertaining way of writing. A good read and it makes a great gift!
Now I know what I did wrong – just after I did it (by H. P. Gilman)
As a fairly recent “elder golfer” (I started at 67) with 3 years’ experience, I prefer to think of this product as a “Reference for the Rest of Us” – although it did have many strong tips that are improving my game. This I treat as a guide to the process rather than a cheat-sheet for the final exam.

The Golf for Beginners Video Free Overview is a video in which the golf instructor describes a few basic fundamentals that golf beginners should know if they want to improve his/her golf game.
A helpful tip when it comes to golf is that it is good to know that there will always be somebody better than you. This is important because you do not want to be dealt a crushing mental blow if you are competing and find yourself outmatched. Golf is a mental game that requires much preparation.
If you are feeling that your golf game needs a little work, try working on your mental attitude first. You need to reprogram the negative into positive; your outlook is a powerful tool. Just let the small things go, like missing a shot, and move on. Focus on the next opportunity and know in your mind that you will do great and your golf game will improve.
Golf for Beginners Video: Free Overview
Always remember this important quote: There will be a lot of practice you will have to do, but the main work has to be done in your head, not in the body … You have to train your mind to hit the ball properly!
